Pre-Order Policy
A pre-order is an order placed with us before the item’s release date.
Pre-Order Payment
Pre-Orders are charged in full when they are placed. We’ve found this more helpful for budgeting purposes, or if your release date isn’t for a while, you don’t have to worry about keeping track.
Pre-Order Cancelation
Canceled pre-orders are treated the same as a refund and are subject to a 10% cancelation fee unless you opt to have your pre-order refunded as store credit, in which case the cancelation fee is waived. If you wish to cancel a preorder, please shoot us a message using the "chat with us" widget on the website. Cancelations requests must be received BEFORE items ship from our warehouse, otherwise the process will be handled according to our Refund Policy. Orders that are placed through Shopify Installment Pay CANNOT be refunded as a third party creditor handles the payments.
Pre-Order Fulfillment
Because the manufacturer makes most of the decisions, which trickles down to the distributor pre-orders can never be 100% guaranteed. If a distributor or manufacturer cancels or limits the release of a particular item, we might not be able to fulfil said pre-order. That said, our purchasing team works hard to ensure that we always have the product to fulfill our preorders. In the event of a cancelation, a full refund will be given, however, no compensation will be given for the inconvenience. This hardly ever happens, but it can.
The estimated arrival date is set by the manufacturer. While they are more or less accurate, it is common to see delays due to the manufacturer or customs holdups during shipping. You can check the figure’s product page for any changes to the release date. We strive to have the most accurate dates/changes on the website for convenient access.
Preorders will be shipped as they arrive at our warehouse in the order they were placed.
Pre-Order Items with Different Release Dates
We HIGHLY recommend placing individual orders for pre-orders with separate release dates. Our system only acknowledges when everything in an order is ready to ship and then changes the tag to “Shippable” for us to pull and pack. Otherwise, items will be held on your order until all items can ship together.
Combining In-Stock & Pre-Order Items
Pre-orders should be placed separate for orders with “In-Stock” items. Orders placed incorrectly with both in-stock & pre-order items will not be fulfilled until all items are in-stock.
Pre-Order & Flex Shipping
If you have multiple pre-orders and would like to save on shipping, please, make sure you’ve created a “NerdStash Account” and let us know via the chat widget what old orders you want added to the Stash Account. We will then hold the items until they can ship together and refund your original shipping in the form of store credit until we invoice you with the exact shipping amount.
